The new A380 First Class – their definition of luxury

Lufthansa A380 First Class cabinA variety of innovative measures in the Lufthansa A380 ensure comprehensive sound insulation and more peace and quiet on board an aircraft than ever before. External aircraft noise is already considerably reduced by the extra outer skin insulation of the First Class cabin. Inside the aircraft, soundproof curtains reduce background noise and sound insulation beneath the carpet makes the sound of footsteps almost inaudible. And all because Lufthansa want you to enjoy an even better night’s sleep.

The eight exceptionally comfortable First Class seats on the upper deck of the Lufthansa A380 can be progressively adjusted to provide the optimal sitting or lying position for working, relaxing or sleeping. The independently adjustable back and foot rests and an ottoman on casters also help you to sit very comfortably.

When the First Class seat is put in the lie-flat position, the armrests retract automatically, widening the surface area to 80 cm. On request flight attendants will turn the new First Class seat into a complete bed with a temperature-regulating duvet, a high-quality pillow and a comfort mattress developed in cooperation with sleep scientists.
