Flat Bed Seat is coming

Get ready to stretch out even more than ever on flights worldwide. Continental commenced the installation of the new Flat Bed Seats in the BusinessFirst cabins of its 777-200 and 757-200 aircraft in late 2009, with installation in the rest of the wide body fleet to follow. From 2 June 2010, all Continental’s flights from London Heathrow will feature the new Flat Bed Seat in BusinessFirst.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Roomy design: The new BusinessFirst Flat Bed Seat is up to 198cm long and among the widest in the industry. It reclines a full 180° so you can lie completely flat to sleep.

Comfort: Find your desired level of comfort with controls that give you infinite combinations for adjusting your seat, including lumbar support. Manual six-way adjustable leather headrest adds even more luxury.

Storage: The BusinessFirst Flat Bed Seat features convenient storage space, under the seat open storage, under-ottoman-storage, shelf located under your monitor and over-the-shoulder amenity storage.

Entertainment & Connectivity: New Audio-Video on Demand system at every seat with 15.4” LCD monitor, iPodTM connector and a convenient reading light to read in bed without disturbing your travel companion. Universal power outlets with no adapter required, a USB port and audio plug in outlet are also available.

Privacy: The divider between the seats gives you complete privacy in the flat bed mode, but still allows you to talk to your travel companion in the upright mode.
