New Aberdeen to London City Route Launched
British Airways is to launch a new route between Aberdeen and London City Airport with three return flights a day.
BA CityFlyer, the wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways, will operate the service from 24 September 2012 using aircraft from its fleet of new Embraer 170 and 190 jets.
British Airways operates seven return flights a day between Aberdeen and Heathrow.
All inclusive one way fares between Aberdeen and London City start from £80 and include generous free 23kg luggage allowance, free online check-in and seat selection 24 hours before departure and complimentary food and drink on board.
New Route to Asia
British Airways is delivering on its promise to increase long haul flying to Asia following IAG’s purchase of bmi, by announcing a new route to Seoul in South Korea. The service will begin on 2 December 2012.
A Boeing 777, with First class, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy) cabins, will serve the six flights a week to Seoul.
The outbound flight to Seoul arrives at the beginning of the working day there and the flights have been timed in order to allow convenient connections to British Airways’ extensive domestic and European short haul network to and from Heathrow.
Drew Crawley, British Airways’ commercial director, said: “We have seen significant growth in customers wanting to travel to Seoul for both business and pleasure. It is a vibrant city with a strong economic base, rated eighth in the Global Cities Index this year”.
London Gatwick to Las Vegas
British Airways is launching another new route from London Gatwick, with the start of services to Las Vegas from winter 2012.
The three-times-a week service begins on 29 October and will be operated year-round, by a 3 cabin Boeing 777.
The London Gatwick to Las Vegas services will be additional to the existing London Heathrow to Las Vegas schedule, offering customers increased choice in terms of timings and airport.
In total British Airways will operate 10 flights a week to Las Vegas.
Update on New First Embodiment
