New charges to be introduced for ESTA's
9 Aug 2010 0:00
As from 8th September 2010, British Travellers planning to visit the USA will be charged $14 by US Customs to apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) which has been in effect since January 2009 and replaces the green waiver form (194W).
Should you need to apply for an ESTA in the coming months we recommend you do so before 8th September 2010 to avoid the fee. An ESTA is valid for multiple trips over a two year period or until the applicant’s passport expires or other specific circumstances give rise to a need to reapply, whichever comes first.
