Increased Security Measures for Travellers to the US
6 Jan 2010 0:00
Following the recent failed bomb attack on a flight to Detroit, the BAA has confirmed that passengers travelling to the United States should expect their airline to carry out additional security checks prior to boarding.
To support this important process and keep delays to a minimum, they strongly advise passengers to allow extra time for check-in and keep hand baggage to an absolute minimum.
Further security measures will also apply onboard with passengers being expected to remain seated for the last hour of their flight.
