Supporting the Environment

Statesman Travel supports environmental management and we believe that all businesses can contribute to an appropriate Environmental Management Scheme (EMS). We endeavour to observe the Government's Environment and Greener Living policy frameworks for recycling/waste management and have implemented our own in-house uncertified EMS based upon ISO 14001. Our EMS was created using a series of 5 defined steps, namely:

1. Understanding what EMS does and its impact on our business
2. Understanding the different types of EMS
3. Complying with environmental regulations
4. Planning the EMS putting into action
5. Reviewing and improving the EMS

Our Management Team is committed to ensuring that all staff understand and implements the relevant aspects of our policy in their day-to-day work through a regular communication of objectives, action plans and achievements. Our objectives are summarised as follows:

- Ensuring all Statesman Travel employees share our vision
- Reducing the amount of waste our business creates
- To make the best use of waste that we produce
- To use our skills/expertise to educate our suppliers/customers
- To reduce energy consumption by exercising responsible energy management.
